UK Budget ‘needs to invest in services and infrastructure’
The UK Budget needs to invest in services and infrastructure in order to bring about an end to austerity, the Scottish finance secretary has said.
Shona Robison was speaking as Rachel Reeves prepares to deliver what will be the first Budget from a Labour chancellor since 2009 on Wednesday.
Ms Robinson told BBC Scotland’s The Sunday Show the budget had to deliver investment in key areas.
She said she had also written to the chancellor regarding her concerns about the speculated increase in National Insurance contributions for employers.
