Adamson rebounds with season sweep of La Salle
MANILA, Philippines — Elaine Etang showed the way in Adamson’s strong bounce-back win over La Salle, 72-49, in the UAAP Season 87 women’s basketball tournament on Saturday at University of Santo Tomas Quadricentennial Pavilion.
Starting their second round with a tough 67-64 loss to Far Eastern University last week, the Lady Falcons came out with a vengeance powered by Etang, who poured in 19 points on 7-of-12 shooting and tallied seven rebounds, three assists, and two steals.

Etang ignited the team’s fourth-quarter run to tally the biggest lead of 24 points, 70-46, keeping La Salle at bay with less than two minutes left.
“I’m very happy with how the girls responded. Going back to the first round, we were told that we are gatecrashing the Final Four. With how we lost against FEU, it kind of derailed our goal,” said Adamson coach Ryan Monteclaro.
