EXCLUSIVE: Rob Kligman Reveals the “Ultimate Goal” of the TNA and WWE Collaboration
WWE rarely collaborates with other wrestling promotions, but it willingly makes an exception when it comes to TNA. While the Stamford-based company now comes under WME, the same Endeavor Streaming also holds the distribution rights to TNA+. EssentiallySports has brought you some insight into the possibility of more WWE-TNA partnerships moving forward into the new era of wrestling.
Rob Kligman recently sat with Trey Holder for an upcoming episode of EssentiallySports Think Tank. When asked about the future of the WWE-TNA partnership, Kligman had an exciting answer for the entire wrestling community.

So far, we have seen wrestlers from both rosters making cross-appearances in the other company. Sometimes it is just for one PLE, other times the stars show up more frequently. The Chief Revenue Officer for Anthem Sports Group discussed this with EssentiallySports in an interview that will come out on July 9th, 12:00 PM EST/09:00 AM PST. Kligman revealed the future goals of this partnership by saying, “Obviously, WrestleMania is the ultimate. There is no such thing that’s even bigger than that. But I think the opportunity that could exist to be part of WrestleMania would be an ultimate goal.”
Having worked in WWE previously, Kligman still wants to work with the company in a mutually beneficial partnership. Such cross-appearances boost excitement among wrestling fans and increase chances of success with ratings and viewership.

The WWE-TNA partnership has increased Joe Hendry’s popularity
Joe Hendry, the Scottish wrestler whose theme song is all over the internet, has now cemented his spot as a firm fan favorite. He quickly became a trend that fans hopped on. Thanks to the partnership between WWE and Impact Wrestling, fans started wondering whether the wrestler would ever show up to make the leading wrestling promotion’s hit shows even brighter. Their desires were eventually heard as he appeared on NXT a while back, but that didn’t satisfy the fans.

Some viewers wanted more of him and took the British wrestler with them to Monday Night Raw on 07/01. He was spotted in the crowd during the opening segment of the red brand show right before Uncle Howdy creepily arrived with the rest of his supernatural friends. A fan had brought a picture of Joe Hendry pasted on a placard. The wrestler took a screenshot of the same as it was soaring high above the crowd and posted it on his social media, acknowledging the efforts and support from the fans.
He was also seen at the NXT Heatwave in the end, so Rob Kligman’s vision for the WWE-TNA partnership may not be in vain after all.
